once about a time

With life just keeping me busy and trying to get my life back together again. Working  a couple of projects. doing some a couple of deers for my daughter, a scarf for a friend.

I am making myself a temperature scarf. which has been fun even though I have restated it three times and changed my mind a couple of times. If you don't know what a temperature scarf is, a lot of people do Afghans but i need another blanket like a hole in my head.

But you keep track of the temperature of that day you can keep track of the highs and lows of the day. I am doing high so it won't be that long. and you do a row every day. the colors you use will depend on the temperature. I am doing it with 8 different colors and ten degrees per color.

Mini house swap 2008

Front view of the house
I was in a pardner swap for miniature houses. The house is made of 100% Premo. I had fun making this house it is sitting on a felt base so that it won't scratch the table top it is sitting on. I see that I got a couple of things crooked but it is my first miniature house this is what lead me to the log cabin which is smaller then this one.

N-Scale polymer log cabin

My Husband are working on a N-Scale train layout. Well I had been wanting to make a cabin for the mountain part. So I was in a mini house swap so got my N-Scale ruler and made a second one for the lay out. Love the chimney on the log cabin. It is 100% polymer clay.

This is the house in the train layout. Still needs some work on the landscape. It will be a on going job. Hope to be able to make some more stuff for it as time goes by.
